Scott Benowitz has worked with assessment, planning, and design of industrial and municipal water projects since 1985. Scott formed Water Engineering Technologies Inc in 1995, where he specializes in water management of open pit and underground hard rock and industrial mineral mines. Mining experience includes evaluation and technology design to manage process solutions; storm water; adit drainage; waste rock seeps; and pit water.  Clients have utilized this experience in North America, Mexico, Central and South America, Australia and New Zealand for water balance optimization; new facility design; closure plans; abandoned mine reclamation; third-party environmental reviews; stream channel reclamation; acid rock drainage mitigation; tailings pond management; water treatment process selection; and operational and closure audits.
