Ufa State Petr Technology University, Russia - Certified Engineering Technologist, PhD candidate

Aygyul Telyasheva is a PhD candidate concentrating on process chemistry of fuels and high energy substances. She is also the president of the SPE student chapter of the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) in Russia. She completed her undergraduate degree in chemical technology of natural energy carriers and hydrocarbon materials at the USPTU and graduated summa cum laude from this program.

Telyasheva is fluent in English and Russian. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, Aygyul’s overall mark was a perfect 5.0, and the best among all students in Russia.

USPTU SPE student chapter won an Outstanding Student Chapter Award and a Russia and Caspian Regional Director Award (1st place). She has received an Official Golden Legacy of World Petroleum Council Award and has been a winner of many regional, all-Russian and international contests and competitions. She has been published more than ten times in different journals and conferences related to the process of engineering.

Telyasheva has also created a project called “ProfTELEPORT,” which builds a connection between students and the industry. ProfTELEPORT has been accepted by several major oil and gas companies and universities as a strategy for involving young, ambitious, and highly educated students in business.
