Jackie is a Senior Researcher at ArcelorMittal Dofasco in the area of Steelmaking and Continuous Casting. His current work is focused on Tundish Open Eye and its impact on steel reoxidation. Additional activities include improving slab quality and productivity. He is the recipient of the Brimacombe Continuous Casting Course Award in 2014. Prior to joining ArcelorMittal, Jackie worked as a process engineer at Silicor Materials - a company that purified and cast silicon metal for the photovoltaic industry. Jackie obtained his Master's degree in Materials Engineering and Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering & Management from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
