Dr. Himanshu Tanvar is currently working as a Postdoctoral fellow at the Metal Processing Institute at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee, India, in 2019 and subsequently completed his Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts in 2023. Dr. Tanvar specializes in process metallurgy, hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, resource recovery and recycling. His research focuses on developing sustainable methods for extracting and refining metallic values from industrial wastes, slags, manufacturing byproducts, end-of-life products, and primary mineral ores. His research has resulted in 26 publications in referred journals and a patent.
