David P. Hoydick is currently senior research project engineer in the Product Technology Div. at US Steel Research and Technology Center, Monroeville, Pa. In 1991 he received a B.S. degree in engineering physics, and he earned a Ph.D. in materials science in 1997, both from the University of Pittsburgh.
