Casas Azañero Mayra graduated in Geological Engineering from the National University of Cajamarca, with experience in mineral exploration, resource estimation, 3D geological modeling, and machine learning. She was a scholar of the Umalliq Warmi Leadership Program 2024 and a recipient of the Robert L. Bates Memorial Scholarship 2025, which enabled her participation in The Forum on the Geology of Industrial Minerals (FGIM) in Salt Lake City, Utah (USA). She also served as a teaching assistant in the Technology and Machine Learning Applied to Metallurgy Bootcamp at CODEa UNI, strengthening her skills in data science. She is an active member of professional organizations such as SME, SGP, and WIM. Currently, she works as a Trainee PRO in Exploration at Las Bambas mining company, developing technical skills in greenfield mineral exploration projects associated with Porphyry–Skarn systems.
