Dr. Jaisen Kohmuench is a licensed Professional Engineer (Mining) who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining and Minerals Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1995.  A Master of Science (1997) and Doctorate (2000) degree followed also from Virginia Tech. He is currently the President and CEO of Eriez, a leader in separation technologies. Jaisen started as a process engineer and has risen through the ranks, progressively assuming additional responsibilities. In 2015, he was given the opportunity to undertake an ex-pat assignment as Managing Director of Eriez Australia. Upon return to the United States in 2019, he became Senior Director of Operations and Strategy for the Asia-Pacific region, which led to the role of VP-International, where he was responsible for Eriez’ overseas businesses. He assumed the role of CEO in January of 2024 and resides in Erie, Pennsylvania, with his wife of nearly 25 years, Kathy, and their three boys.
