Firoze E. Katrak is vice president for the Business Consulting Group at Charles River Associates Inc. He received a BTech in metallurgical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, an SM in process metallurgy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), an MatE in materials engineering from MIT, and a ScD in materials engineering-finance and business economics from MIT.

Over the last 1 B years he has consulted extensively on marketing and market development for minerals, metals, and engineering materials competitive analysis of mining and materials producing companies; identifying and exploiting investment opportunities in materials; business strategy for minerals/material companies; and helping materials companies organize their firms for meeting competitive challenges.

Dr. Katrak's expertise and experience are in integrating all diverse elements in the management of mineral/materials business. For clients in the US, Canada, western Europe, Japan, Australia, and Africa he has directed studies that have analyzed many materials and manufacturing industries.
