Pinakin C. Chaubal is a staff engineer in the Process Research and Development Department of Inland Steel Company.

He received a B.S. from the Indian Institute of Technology, a M.S. from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and a Ph.D. from the University of Utah, all in metallurgical engineering.He joined Inland in 1988 in the ironmaking research section, where he worked on projects such as fluxed pellet implementation, slag practice development, and coal injection.
