Nancy Ward received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 2014 from the University of New Brunswick. Her career began in Ironmaking as a Management Associate in 2015 for US Steel Canada in Hamilton & Nanticoke, Ontario Canada. In 2017, Nancy was assigned to help form Stelco’s new technical group for Coke & Iron Operations as a Process Engineer for Coke & Iron Technology at Stelco. Nancy is a technical representative for Stelco on the Canadian Carbonization Research Association, an AIST Ironmaking Committee member, and organizing committee member for the 25th McMaster University Blast Furnace Ironmaking Course. Nancy has been lead author on three published technical articles for AISTech. She has been, and continues to be, heavily involved with blast furnace assessment studies and projects for campaign extension at Stelco’s No. 1 Blast Furnace. Stelco’s Network for Young Professionals and Managers was started in 2017 and rapidly growing from Nancy’s leadership.
