Throughout David’s career, he was part of the team responsible for the development and management of Dofasco’s strategy for the procurement of Coal and Iron Ore, the acquisition and operation of Iron Ore properties and Transportation.

Consistent throughout Dofasco’s raw material strategy has been the focus of providing the highest value product for our needs that will drive the lowest cost for slabs. The raw material product quality and design have been two of the components that have supported Dofasco’s Ironmaking to reach superior performance. Through his training and experience he understood the need to provide low cost, high value raw materials necessary to maximize Dofasco’s steelmaking assets.
