WSE Washington Award 2017

On February 24th, “AIME’s Washington Award Committee representative from AIST and TMS, Alan Cramb, participated in the Western Society of Engineers’ Chicago National Engineers Week celebration with 424 other attendees.  Over 100 students from the region were recognized for their winning entries in the High School Student Bridge Building Contest, the SEAOI Science Fair, Destination ImagiNation, AAAEA-IL Essay/Poster Contest, the Future City competition and FIRST Robotics Program. The joint engineering society 98th Washington Award was presented to Mr. Charles Hull.

Chuck is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of 3D Systems.  He is the inventor of the solid imaging process known as Stereolithography, the first commercial 3D printing technology.  With the founding of 3D Systems in 1986, he initiated the 3D printing industry and continues to lead it today with cutting edge innovations ranging from state-of-the-art production 3D printers that have changed the game in manufacturing to precision healthcare and medical 3D printing solutions, on-demand parts manufacturing services and digital design tools.
