Leadership from 48 engineering societies met in Washington, DC on April 8 and 9, 2019 to attend the National Academy of Engineering's annual Convocation and ASME-hosted Engineering Public Policy Symposium. The group heard from a distinguished panel on Diversity and Inclusion in Engineering as well as legislators on Capitol Hill. AIME President from SPE, Roland Moreau, AIME President-Elect from TMS, Hani Henein, and AIME Executive Director, Michele Lawrie-Munro were present, as were SME Executive Director, Dave Kanagy, SME President, Hugh Miller, and TMS President, Jim Foley.
