AIME, SME, TMS, and SPE leadership attended the United Engineering Foundation Strategic Planning, Carbon Management Working Group dinner, NAE/AAES Convocation, AAES Awards Banquet, Engineering Public Policy Symposium, AAES Board meeting, and 50K Coalition Diversity Summit in the DC-area April 17-21.  TMS member, Peter Voorhees, and AIST member, Chenn Zhou showcased Northwestern's and Purdue's modeling/simulation efforts, respectively, at the Convocation.  2011 AIME President, Brajendra Mishra, received the Kenneth Andrew Roe award to recognize his contributions to promoting unity among AAES Member Societies.  AIME President-Elect, Nikhil Trivedi, moderated a session at the Symposium.
