AIME Organizing Engineering Solutions for Sustainability (ESS:M&R) Symposium
The AIME Sustainability Steering Committee is organizing Engineering Solutions for Sustainability: Materials & Resources (ESS:M&R) Symposium for March 18-19, 2015 in Orlando, FL. The event is a follow-on from the 2009 workshop held in Lausanne, Switzerland. Sister engineering societies, AIChE and ASCE, are also involved in the planning again as well.
Chaired by AIME and TMS Past President, Brajendra Mishra, of the Colorado School of Mines, this symposium will focus on what materials and resources are integral to meeting basic societal sustainability needs in critical areas of Energy, Transportation, Housing, and Recycling. 100 presentations, a plenary and keynotes, poster session, networking reception, and post-conference publication are planned.
This symposium is one of nearly 70 that is now accepting abstract submissions as part of TMS2015. You will find it under "Materials for Energy and Sustainability".
