Robert L. Whiting is emeritus professor of petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University. Throughout the course of his career, he has made significant contributions to oil and gas recovery technology and has gained international renown as a petroleum engineering educator. He has instilled a quest for excellence in the thousands of students he taught and counseled during his 30-year tenure.
