Antoine Marc Gaudin is the Robert H. Richards Professor of Mineral Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has taught at M.I.T. since 1939.

Professor Gaudin received his bachelor of science degree in France in 1916. He served in the United States Army during World War I and, in 1921, graduated from Columbia University as an Engineer of Mines. Since 1924 he has devoted himself entirely to teaching and research in the field of minerals: lecturer in mining, Columbia University (1924-26) ; associate professor of metallurgical research, University of Utah (1926-29); research professor of mineral dressing at the Montana School of Mines (1929- 39); Robert H. Richards Professor of Mineral Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1939 to present).

Professor Gaudin's teaching and research has touched on most aspects of mineral processing, particularly flotation, leaching, minersgraphy, and comminution. He is the author of two textbooks, "Flotation" published in 1932 and reprinted in 1957, and "Principles of Mineral Dressing" published in 1939. He has authored or co-authored over 160 technical articles.
